Founding Partner Buddy Dollar, AIA (in Memoriam)

With a BS in Architectural Technology from the University of Southern Mississippi and a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Tennessee, Mr. Dollar began his professional career in 1971 as a draftsman, and by 1974 was working as a project architect for a Knoxville architectural firm. From 1974 to 1978 he worked on a wide range of project types which included all phases of project development, from schematic design through construction administration. In 1978, Mr. Dollar started his own architectural firm and practiced as an owner/partner providing such diverse projects as banks, office buildings, schools, churches, industrial facilities, medical facilities, residential complexes, and retail buildings.

Buddy passed away in 2019, having spent several years in retirement at his lovely lake home on Douglas Lake in Dandridge, TN. Buddy designed his own home, which was featured on HGTV. He is sorely missed and still serves as a bright inspiration to our office.
