Dollar & Ewers

The Jefferson / Cocke County Utility District has relied on Dollar & Ewers to guide them through several projects, including multiple renovations and additions to their facilities in Newport, TN and in Jefferson City, TN.

This project includes a 6,000 sf addition to a 30,000 sf office building, plus a new 20,500 sf maintenance building, and a new 4,200 sf storage building at the Newport, TN location. The office building was expanded to include a training room, along with new offices and core functions. The maintenance building, equipped with cranes, was designed to accommodate the Utility District’s needs to repair and maintain parts with areas for painting, welding, sandblasting, and other flexible maintenance spaces, while also providing break and dressing/showering facilities for employees. The office building was constructed of concrete masonry unit bearing walls / steel columns, bar joists, a standing seam metal roof, and combination split-face cmu veneer / metal panel wall cladding. The maintenance and storage buildings are engineered metal building structures with metal panel cladding and standing seam metal roofing. We later provided additional renovations to the main facility and maintenance facility. We also designed a 4,800 sf renovation of their Jefferson City Office.
